Pretty Pink Seat

Because Carter is a big kid now, we bought Abby a new car seat and gave Carter hers. She loves her pretty pink car seat and she is always asking to go in the car so she can sit in her seat. It is fun to have a girl that is so girly! I love you Abby!

P.S. Trevor is kind of feeling left out because he didn't get a new seat or new shoes (Abby and Carter both got new shoes). Sorry Trevor, I do love you too!

I'm a big kid now

Carter is growing up so fast and is not really a baby anymore. We have put him in a forward facing seat, he is sleeping in his bed all night long, he is walking and running all over, he is eating all the solids he wants and I just weaned him to a bottle. He had a hard time the first day but he is doing great and he loves the bottle (this is the same kid that has never ever taken a bottle before). I wish I could have just weaned him to a sippy cup but that was going too far, he wanted nothing to do with it. So we will have to wean him again later on. Baby or not he is still a darn cute kid! I love you Carter!

Our Family Rules

So I have to share this: Trevor learned about being obedient in sunbeams on Sunday. He and his teacher did a picture of our family rules and how he can be obedient. Here are our rules according to Trevor:

~Go to Bed (I think at 2 days)

~clean up my clothes and put 'em in the basket

~No hitting - only bad guys

~Be careful cutting carrots, it's like a sharp thing like a shark

~No pushing

~ Brush your teeth

~Don't play on rocks or pokey bush!

~Only throw rocks in the river!

~If a fish comes by stop throwing rocks!

What a creative kid! I just laughed when he handed it to me. He was so proud of himself. I am sure you can't see many details but he drew a circle for the basket to put his clothes in, he drew a long carrot, he traced his hand and he drew the rocks. He sure is fun!

Nick came home from work and asked me if I wanted a new garage door because a guy had been in the bank and talked to him about it. I said sure and the next day we got a new AUTOMATIC garage door. I meant to take pictures of the old one first but they had it torn out before I got the chance. Anyway, here it is.

Not the best of pictures but you get the idea. We decided to go with a white door because somewhere in the near future we are doing white siding on the house. I am so excited to have this door for winter. A couple of times this past winter the kids and I loaded up in the car to go somewhere and I was unable to get the garage door open, so we resorted to just staying home. It was really frustrating, so the kids are happy about the new door too! And they get to push the button to open it!

Well, I am officially retarded. When I was trying to switch the template for my blog I lost a whole bunch of my stuff including my list of other blogs. So, if you do not see your name on my list please leave me a comment with your address and I will add you. I really love to look at people's blogs so the more the merrier. Thank you for your help.

Well, we are back from more big adventures. First we went to the Uinta county fair to watch my sisters show their steers. I of course forgot to get the camera out and take pictures so I don't have any but we did have a lot of fun. The kids loved seeing the animals, we rode on some rides, we watched the cowboy show, we made lots of crafts and Trevor's favorite souvenir was his rope that he made. Right after the steer show on Thursday we headed up to the Tetons for Nick's big family reunion(about 300 people). Every year they get together and camp for a week. Most people don't camp for the whole week but everyone just comes when it works for them. It really is a fun thing. I didn't get the camera out until Saturday so we don't have very many pictures but we do have a few. I am pretty sure that we didn't leave any dirt in the mountains because my children wore it all home. The all had so much fun getting so dirty. We did finally take a bath in Grandma's big tub on Saturday. It didn't take them long to be completely covered in dirt again but hey we tried. It was so good to see family and be able to visit with them. I love being in the mountains and just enjoying the beauty of the earth. I always feel so close to my Father in Heaven when I have the chance to enjoy nature. We are so blessed.

We came home from the reunion on Sunday and Monday was of course dedicated to laundry, cleaning the van, more laundry, unpacking and more laundry. Monday evening we went to a circus here in Kemmerer. It was really neat. The kids really liked the lion and tigers. After the circus they got to go on one of those inflatable slides. At first they were not going to be able to go because they were too small, but the guy felt bad for them when he saw how crushed they were when we told them they couldn't go. He let them each go down once, and that was enough! They loved it. Anyway, I know your not going to believe it but I forgot my camera, so no pictures from the circus. Sorry, I have a major problem trying to remember my camera, I think that it is because I used to make fun of my mom for the same problem. OOPS, sorry mom!
