slacker blogger... oops!

I am really lousy at keeping this blog up sometimes. I could list all of my excuses but I will spare you and just get to the updates! Warning: picture overload (if there is such a thing)!

Abby's first day of preschool (Carter wanted in the picture too)

Abby and her good friend Chloe at school

Trevor's first day of his second year of preschool

Alyson reading to Trevor and Abby (what a nice aunt and uncle)!

This is a really tired boy! He loves sandwiches but this day he was just too tuckered out to even finish. poor kid

No, I did not pee my pants. I was changing Tyson's diaper on the floor by a corner shelf. Carter came over and touched the shelf and it tipped right over. I caught it before it hit Tyson but I didn't catch the candle that was in the candle warmer. It splashed all over us. Luckily I took the brunt of it but it did get on Tyson's bare belly. I was so scared that it burned him but he didn't seem bothered by it at all. I was just glad that he was okay. My pants and shirt and the carpet are another story. Oh well.

We went over to the homecoming parade in Evanston.

It starts right by my in-laws house so we just walk out the door and have the best spot.

here is Tyson at the parade - he was toasty!

Here are all they grandkids that could get the candy - they sure had fun!

Here is their big pile of candy

Abby and Paige are sure getting to be good friends! (her cousin)

This is my baby sucking his thumb - well almost

he really did have his thumb in his mouth but as soon as I pushed the button his thumb came out. He is such a cute little guy though!
If you are still with me-thanks for sticking it out through it all. We have been up to quite a bit but this is what we captured on camera.

Fun in the Mud!

Carter feeding the bulls (like he was supposed to)

The other day we were at my parents and I sent my kids out to help with chores. I later came out to find them doing this

Trevor had to help Abby get her boots unstuck a lot!

Here is everyone with a piece of grass in their mouth!
They sure had fun in the mud and it took two baths to get them clean. Watching them play sure brought back a lot of memories for me from when I was a kid!

Happy 30th Nick!

Nick turned 30 on Sunday! He is an old man but we still love him! We are sure lucky to have him. He is a wonderful husband and father. We had to speak in church as a family so our morning was consumed with our talks and then we had family over after church. We just ate dinner, opened presents, had cake and ice cream and visited.

Nick opening his presents

We made a soccer ball pinata for Nick to go along with his present. You can't really tell it is a soccer ball but we tried - our marker died, so we only got half of it colored:(

We had a lot of fun making it

but we had even more fun kicking it to break it open!
It was a fun day and we hope Nick enjoyed it. He gets to go to the world cup qualifier game between the U.S.A and El Salvador! He is pretty excited! Happy Birthday Honey we love you!

Tyson's blessing Day

We blessed Tyson on Aug.1st. Yes I am once again behind on my posting but at least we are still in the same month. Anyway, we decided to bless him in Evanston because Nick's sister was home from Tennessee. Nick's brother and his wife had a baby just before us and we decided to bless them together so Rachel could attend! It was a really special day and it worked out great because my sister was here from Arizona. Nick did a wonderful job of blessing him! I am so thankful for him and that we have the priesthood in our home!
Lauri's sister came and took some pictures and I hope I can get my hands on some because my camera died after a only getting a few.

Here is Tyson after the blessing just smiling and happy as always

His Grandma (Nick's mom) made this outfit for him! She is amazing. She has made each of my kids their blessing day outfit and they are all so adorable and it is such a special thing! Thank you Sue!

Such a handsome guy!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARTER!

July 26th was Carter's 2nd birthday - yes I know I am slow posting these. Anyway he had a great day and it is hard to believe that it has been two years.

Carter was so excited for his birthday!

He really liked eating his breakfast in bed!

Trevor showing him how to open his presents

This was so cute; I told him to show me what he got and he was so excited to show me the wrapping paper!

some of the blocks

we didn't have time to put the bike together before so we just had him go out to the truck to see it.

getting ready to blow out candles

deep breath - ready to blow

The new bike (we had to get one like Abby's because he always wanted to ride it)

We are so glad this little guy came to our family two years ago. He was 5 lbs. 1 oz. and was 18 1/4 in. long. He is full of life and is a great helper. he loves to do whatever Trevor and Abby are doing. We love you Carter boy!
