Trevor wears 12 mo clothes!

Yesterday was a busy and crazy morning and I may have made a mistake. We have been having some plumbing problems and we have not been able to find a plumber that would come and check it out. So I decided to tackle it myself, and I found the problem quickly. There was a washcloth in the pipe. I don't want to get into a lot of details but all of the stuff from my kitchen sink was backed up in my bathtub. So you can imagine how gross it was when it all came out. Luckily our basement isn't finished and it is just concrete floor (a lot easier to clean than carpet). Anyway, to make a long story shorter, we had a huge mess and we all needed a bath really bad. I was also trying to hurry and get laundry done so Trevor would have something to wear to preschool (his first day). Well preschool started at noon and we usually don't eat until 12:00 or 12:30. At 11:20 I decided we needed to get going so I pulled a pair of pants and shirt out of the washer and put them in the dryer with the dry towels so it would dry the clothes for Trevor faster. Then I put Trevor in the kitchen sink for a bath with a hot dog in hand so he could be ready to go to preschool. We were still getting him dressed when Jill showed up to pick him up(We carpool to make it easier). So we got him off to preschool just in time and I was feeling a little bit more under control. When Trevor got home from preschool I decided I should take his picture since we didn't have time before. He kept raising his hands and his tummy would poke out. I didn't think much about it other than, "that is a new shirt and I thought I bought it big." Well, I later realized when I was folding laundry that I was folding the 3T t-shirt. I told Trevor to come here and told him that he was wearing Carter's shirt! He thought that was so funny and he was really excited to tell Dad. I have been buying the boys matching shirts because it is so cute and Trevor really likes to match his brother. So yeah, I made a mistake. I put my baby's shirt on my three year old. Oops! I am just glad that it was okay because he really wanted to wear that shirt and if it would have been any smaller I would have had to make him wear something else. I guess having really little kids is a blessing sometimes because they can wear their clothes for a really long time!

That's so funny! Paden doesn't even fit into 12 month clothing...haha! It is a blessing, clothes last a lot longer with tiny kids!

Audrey-
I am glad that you remembered that story. I posted it just for you since you left that comment awhile ago. :) I know the funniest part of the whole story was probably the look on my face. Priceless!!! Ah... good times at Gillette Office Supply. Those were the days. :)

hee hee -- this is a good one! I totally did the same thing on Parker AND Stewart's first days of school this year -- we were racing to get the clothes dry in time!
